"Just as a work of art solicits several interpretations whose comulative effects are meant to do justice to the work and contribute to its subsequent life, the way the interpreting community proposes a historical reading and interpretation contributes to the pluridimentionality of the text."
Which gives life to which? Is the art/text asking of us or are we asking of it? And if our interpretations are life giving are they equally life giving? Can pluridimentionality lead to a conclusion? And most importantly, how am I going to get any sleep with all this to ponder? No more reading your blog before bed.

Pat Keifert and Jim Boyce are very helpful in laying out this kind of biblical interpretation that you quote from Paul Ricoeur and LaCocque. They were great teachers in our online course Truth and Meaning: A Rhetorical Approach the previous semester. They may or may not share your thoughts on homosexuality (I don't know), but this sort of hermeneutic is one I think they are very interested in.
