Blog silence playing off . . .

Well, wouldn't you know it. Not blogging has helped make serious progress on my next book, titled Broken Hallelujahs, and due out from Brazos.  It is a year over-due, unfortunately, so I'm trying hard to finish. I've gotten far though, with half of chapter six done, and that's the last chapter (apart from an short conclusion and an appendix showing how the perspective I'm arguing for works out in engaging actual artists like David Bazan, The Arcade Fire, Mozart, Miles Davis, Kanye West, and who knows who else I'll engage.  Let me know your preferences. 

Thanks for your willingness to stick with my blog, dear readers, despite the low count on new posts.  I'll revive soon, and beginning tonight when I have a couple things to get off my chest.
